What to do in Muskoka this weekend! September 29 - October 1

Friday September 29

Culture Days weekend, Friday through Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm, at Muskoka Lakes Museum, 100 Joseph Street features a ‘Put yourself in the Picture’ exercise designed to explore the local heritage through old postcards & modern photography.

Tom Thompson Paddle Art event, 9 am – 5 pm at Partners Hall, Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville ~ 37 Main St East. More than 100 uniquely decorated paddles will be on display for purchase through a fundraising silent auction.

Saturday, September 30

Culture Days at Muskoka Lakes continues – see Friday for details.

Drop in Art Classes, 2 – 4pm at Let The Cat Go, 193 Manitoba St, Bracebridge. Come and go as you please; every Saturday will be a different medium, suitable for all ages.

The Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour bridges the gap between artist and patron, allowing visitors into the studio to witness the artistic process firsthand. 10 am to 6 pm each day. Check their website for map:  muskokaautumnstudiotour.com

Sunday October 1

Autumn Seranade, 3 – 4:30 pm, Sutherland Hall, 30 High Street, Huntsville. Features living Canadian composers, and audience singalong of The Maple Leaf Forever and Michelle by the Beatles. Artists include Jamie Thompson, flute, Marion Haggart, piano, Martha Kashap, violin, Philip Morehead, piano, Patricia Morehead, composer/oboe, Venerable Dawn Henderson, mezzo-soprano and others.
