20th Annual Dorset Kids Fishing Derby
: 9:00-11:00am
Place: Dorset Public Docks

Registration table in Cedar Narrows Park from 9:00 to 9:30am
Judging at 9:30 to 10:30am
Prize Ceremony at 11am

Lots of kooky prize winning categories (*hint - craziest fishing hat!). Everyone gets a prize! (Donations of prizes gratefully accepted!) Bait is provided but please bring a pole. For kids 12 and under accompanied by a parent.

Cost: $2 per child.

Extreme Sports for the Whole Family

Art Splash

A FREE fun-filled afternoon of interactive arts and crafts for kids of all ages. Staff of Camp Tawingo Day Program support the Festival's efforts to provide a morning of interactive arts and crafts for the whole family!

IronKids Muskoka
: 8:30-11:00am
Place: Main Street
Calling all kids from 3 years to 14 years of all abilities! Be a part of all of the festivities at our Ironman Muskoka celebrations! Registration starts at 8:30 AM. Races start at the Corner of Main & Centre Street in scenic Huntsville. 

Running distances and times: 
500m (3 to 6 year olds at 10:10 AM) &
1 km (7 to 10 year olds at 10:15 AM) and
1 km (11-14 year olds at 10:20 AM).

Cost is $20 in advance, $25 on race day. Each IronKid will receive a t-shirt & finisher's medal.

Fundraising Gala 2016

To help the SS Bigwin keep sailing, an annual gala is held to raise funds vital to the continued operations. Join us for our South Beach White Party. Net proceeds to benefit a variety of important causes on Lake of Bays.  Cocktails, dinner and dancing… Come dressed in your South Beach White!

The Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve is the trail runner’s dream with its challenging terrain that will take you alongside pristine lakes, through a wetland with its tier of beaver dams, up and over some steep inclines and either tiptoeing or splashing through the occasional creek or mud hole. You will run through technical areas that will require the nimblest of footwork and on trails that allow you to open up to your best speed, plus everything in between. You will marvel at the extraordinary beauty of this privately owned Reserve that we are so privileged to enjoy. It will leave you breathless in more ways than one! We promise you a well-marked course, enthusiastic volunteers and a post-race meal that you will write home about.  You will love it! The custodians, staff and volunteers at the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve have spent countless hours restoring these historic wilderness trails and are pleased to be able to welcome local residents and visitors to experience them.

This is an OPEN MEETING, EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Coffee & Exhibits at 9:00 am. Meeting begins at 9:30 am. Come hear about what’s happening around Lake of Bays and learn about issues and topics of importance to our waterfront community. Exhibitors and guest speakers to be confirmed closer to the date. With 1,300 members, the Lake of Bays Association is one of the largest lake associations in the province. Its purpose is to promote, maintain and enhance a clean, healthy and natural environment, a well-serviced community and a safe, peaceful Lake of Bays.

IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka is an event that has earned the respect of athletes from around the world, elite and age groupers alike as the IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka course is one that many feel, including professional athletes like Craig Alexander and Mirinda Carfrae, is a “true test of ones athletic abilities”. As challenging as it may be, this is aptly balanced as the course is as visually stimulating as it is physically challenging, that is why the course has earned the nickname “The Beauty and The Beast”.
