Mid Summer Music Concert

When?  Friday, July 24th at 7:30 pm

Where?  Christ Church, Port Sydney

What?  Live music featuring Gregory and Alec Gibson, Amy Wallace with Danial McCoy, Jason Vink with Jin and Michelle Collins.  Tickets are $10 per person and are available at Uncle Larry's General Store, Treasures and Trophies and Dean's Home Hardware

 

Leahys In Song

When?  Friday, July 24th at 8:00

Where?  Algonquin Theatre, Huntsville

What?  For years the Leahy Family have played, danced and shared music throughout the world, gaining critical accolades wherever they have performed.  Tickets are $38 for adults, $20 for youth. and $35 for seniors.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.algonquintheatre.ca or by calling the box office at 705-789-4975

Where?  Fairvern Nursing Home, Huntsville

What?  Huge community garage sale with all proceed going to the Fairvern Capital Fund

 

Baysville Walkabout Festival

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Where?  Various Locations in Baysville

What?  Bring your family to downtown Baysville!! Pancake breakfast from 8:00 am to noon at the Lions Club, pace painting and exciting gyroscope and Zorb balls from Elephant Thoughts!  Live bands and Eclectic sounds with DJ Glen Bryam will provide music throughout the day.  The Brushy Boys will be back with their animal calls. Church BBQs at both ends of town.  The gates open at 9 am and close at 4 pm.  Admission is by donation which goes back to the community.  Rain or shine, come and join in.

 

Lego with Quantum Kids

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

Where?  Baysville Public Library

What?  You've never played with Lego until you've played with Quantum Kids!  Make fabulous Lego structures and have a ton of fun!  Please sign up in advance at the Baysville Branch of the Lake of Bays Public Library or call 705-767-2361 or email linla@vianet.ca  $10 per child

 

Loggers Day

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Where?  Algonquin Logging Museum

What?  Join us for this highly entertaining and educational day when the Algonquin Logging Museum comes to life!  Take in the demonstrations around the Logging Museum and try the old-time loggers' lunch ($10) served in the sawlog cooery from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.  cost is $2 per person plus your valid Day Use or Camping Permit.

 

Dorset Art and Garden Tour

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Where?  Various locations in Dorset

Summer Flower Show

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm

Where?  Huntsville Place Mall

What?  The Huntsville Horticultural Society is hosting its Annual Summer Flower Show!  Members must place their entries for the show between 8:30 and 9:30.  Judging will take place after this.  Contact Bryan MacKenzie for more information 705-784-0414.

 

Quantum Kidz Lego Club

When?  Saturday, July 25th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm

Where?  Dwight Library

What?  Play and learn math, science, technology, social studies, language... all of this and more through Lego workshops by Mr. Lego@Quantum Kidz.  Suitable for kids from 6-12 years of age.  $10 per child.  This week's theme is super heros and heroines.  Pre-Registration is required.

Where?  River Mill Park

What?  Join in an informal church service in downtown Huntsville!  Crafts for kids, modern music and a short practical message!  The service will be comfortable and engaging for everyone!

 

OFAH/ OPG TackleShare

When?  Sunday, July 26th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Where?  Avery Beach, Huntsville

What?  TackleShare Program gives new and young anglers the opportunity to go fishing at no cost!  Participating anglers simply sign out a rod and reel, as well as an assortment of tackle in the same way that they would borrow library material.  In addition to lending out gear, the Travelling TackleShare crew provides an interactive educational workshop, which includes introductory fishing instruction and lessons on aquatic habitats, conservation and water safety!

 

Wakami Wailers Concert

When?  Sunday, July 26th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Where?  Outdoor Theatre, km 35.4 on Hwy 60

What?  The award winning Ontario-based Wakami Wailers will get your toes tapping through lively music sharing Canada's logging history, park and protected areas and much more.  Join the Wailers for a fun-filled evening of entertaining stories and songs from their popular releases.  Brought to you by The Friends of Algonquin Park.  Admission is a minimum donation of $2 per person.

 

Johnny Max - Live Blues Etwell Concert Series

When?  Sunday, July 26th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Where?  Stisted Fairgrounds, 2012 Etwell Road, Huntsville
