Silent Boat Rally - Eco-tour of the Lower Oxtongue River

When?  Saturday, August 1st, 9:00 am

Where?  Marsh's Falls, just east of Dwight

What?  This self-guided tour by canoe, kayak or paddle boat will launch just below Marsh's Falls for a paddle down the river to the mouth and return to the falls for lunch.  This is an eight km route of easy paddling in the most beautiful setting in the township.  Bring your own boat.  Register online at  $15 includes lunch

Lego with Quantum Kids

Firefest Fireworks and Event

When?  Saturday, August 1st, 5:00 pm

Where?  Dwight Beach

What?  Presented by Huntsville and Lake of Bays Fire Departments, Firefest has been lighting the sky over Dwight Beach in the Lake of Bays for more than 20 years.  Hosted by the area's volunteer fire department, the event includes live music, food, raffles, fireboat rides and fireworks.  This year's event starts with a BBQ at 5:00 pm.

100 Mile Challenge Summer BBQ

Where?  Arowhon Pines, Algonquin Park

What?  Arowhon Pines, Algonquin Park presents its 5th Annual Civic Holiday Weekend "100 Mile Challenge" Summer BBQ.  All food served is grown within 100 miles of the resort!  Celebrate local food, live music, artis, beer tent!  Reservations required $35 per person 705-633-5661
