What? The Hunters Bay Radio Radiothon is being held from August 21st to 23rd. Hunters Bay Radio is an award winning community station, run mainly by volunteers and we need your help to continue to bring you great programming. Advertising pays for only part of what we do. Next year we are required to install an emergency broadcast system by the CRTC. Help us fund this project, so that we can be there to tell you what's going on when the power goes out or worse. Please donate by clicking on the PAY PAL link, or drop by the studio and help support community radio.

It was about this time last year I posted this blog and guess what? This Muskoka cottage week-end promises some more "dog-days"! So appropriate, I thought I would post it again! Here it is...
Remember the dog-days of August? If you're over 50 years old, you will. This week-end promises to be just that. Too warm to do anything except what you really feel like doing. So take advantage of it. Grab your fishing rod and head down to the dock. Spend a whole day on the lake. Invite your girlfriends over for that lovely Sunday lunch on the deck complete with a cool sparkling beverage. Get those grandchildren to the beach with all the makings for sand castles. Take a leisurely paddle in your canoe. Alone or with your most favourite person in the world.
What? The kids will love the activities! Everyone will love the music at this street festival! The Downtown shops will be bursting out onto the streets with bargains during this daylong sidewalk sale.
